I've thought of safety in terms of what you are talking about, but the problem implementing that would be mind boggling. Its not as simple as it sounds by any stretch of the imagination. Tuning guidelines will be extensively drawn out which will give the tuner a general idea of what the VG is capable of handling. It will basically be a compilation of my own notes on the VG's characteristics. But, the possible combinations of upgrades simply make it too complex to do what you are asking. I have never seen it in any other management system probably for the same reason. Tuning should not rely on the user having something or someone telling him what to do, else, he's not a tuner. Tuning any engine requires that you collect performance data and review it so that you make an educated and well informed decision on what to do next. It is not recommended to go out on the streets and start playing with settings. You can save your programs as binary files in the file menu (of which I urge people to share openly to benefit us all) and load it at any time, however, it requires a computer to load a new map. As for the dual-intake setup, I have YET to see a dual setup that properly distributes the intake gases such that the flow is balanced between the two. So you think the balance tube takes care of that? GUess again. One turbo can be pulling more air in than the other and the pressure gets balanced in the balance tube, BUT, the air measured will not be exactly half of the actual intake air. If it is on the turbo that is moving less air, then you will run lean and you will have serious issues. I have drawings on the bench for a dual intake setup which will eliminate this problem as well as not have low-end drivability problems that the dual pop setups suffer from. I would only recommend that people with the Zemulator use my dual-intake setup because I will guarantee that the design will work properly. I dont completely understand your last question. Would there be any reason you would have detonation anyway? If your timing is set to 15^ and you are running the JWT program (or mine), you should have no detonation. If you do, its on account of something else if those systems are working properly.
